BRIDGE PRESS RELEASE

BRIDGE PRESS RELEASE
In March this year 14 refugee students from across KL representing 5 different nationalities attended the first ever Bridge course in Malaysia.
The aim of the Bridge course is to identify refugees who can demonstrate the motivation and academic potential to access further education and to equip and empower them to gain a place at university or college. The intensive course, held over three consecutive weekends, included soft skill workshops given by specialist professors and lecturers in areas such as interview and presentation techniques, research skills and teamwork and also included visits to 2 different university campuses. Each student was assigned a mentor who is journeying through this process with them. Since attending the course 2 students have already gained places at Nottingham University whilst others are still submitting their applications. Without exception, each student found the course invaluable and as a result a further course will be held later this year.  For further information and to register interest contact jessica.fugee@gmail.com
